EG Restaurant 'Week' Returns Sept. 20-29

Solidifying our place as the culinary hub of the West Bay, the Second Annual East Greenwich Restaurant Week takes place Sept. 20-29. Yes, that's more than a week – a good thing, since there are so many restaurants participating. 

"East Greenwich is a dining destination and is a big part of what makes our town so special," said Steve Lombardi, executive director of the EG Chamber. "Our restaurants and all of our merchants look forward to welcoming visitors from all over the region."

So far, 19 restaurants have signed up and Lombardi said he expects more will be added. Those that sign on must offer some sort of special such as a fixed-price menu or reduced-price appetizers. 

The East Greenwich Restaurant Week will have an official kickoff party on Thursday, Sept. 19, at the East Greenwich Yacht Club. Savor East Greenwich will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will feature food samples from many of the participating restaurants. There will be live entertainment and a cash bar. Tickets will be $25 per person. Proceeds will benefit the East Greenwich Animal Protection League and can be reserved at www.savoreg.eventbrite.com.
