Extras Needed for Film Shot in East Greenwich

About 80 extras are needed for a party scene in a film directed by Walking Dead's Julius Ramsay.

EAST GREENWICH, RI—An independent film with some scenes being shot in East Greenwich is in need of about 80 extras on Wednesday.

The film, “Revelers,” is being directed by Walking Dead director Julius Ramsay.

From 4 to 9 p.m., a crowd of people will be needed to help fill the American Legion Hall at 1016 Main St. in East Greenwich for a New Year’s Eve party scene.

The ideal extra will be dressed semi-formally with a “tacky vibe,” according to a news release. “We’re going for the awkward feel of a work party, so we’d like everyone to dress accordingly: off-color shirts, frumpy dresses, strange ties -- we encourage everyone to be creative. Sparkles for the ladies. Think of what you’d wear to a NYE party if you were on the tv show The Office. If you can, bring some extra clothes (2-3 changes) & you can alter your look if need be. We’ll be supplying all the essential party hats, blowhorns, and tiaras.”

Though extras won’t be paid, it’s a chance to appear in a feature film.

“The more the merrier, this is a party after all,” the release stated.
