Ghosts and Goblins Ready to March Down Main Street in East Greenwich Oct. 24

Ghosts, goblins and princesses will be marching down Main Street on Saturday, Oct. 24 for the 22nd annual Halloween Parade and Party.

This year marks the 22nd year that the town of East Greenwich will turn the streets over to roaming monsters, zombies and princesses.

It’s the annual Halloween Parade and Party and it’s set for Oct. 24 with marchers gathering at 9:45 a.m. at Academy Field to step off promptly at 10 a.m.

The group will march south on Main Street and immediately following the parade, the town’s popular Halloween egg hunt will begin at Academy Field. Bring a bag to gather your eggs!

This is a free event, but donations of can goods for the local food cupboard will be accepted at Academy Field and at Town Hall to make this a “Helping Halloween” event. Parent participation is required at this event.

The community as a whole helps to sponsor this event through volunteer hours, donations, in-kind services, and funding. Without the countless people and contributors this event would not take place. For more information contact the East Greenwich Parks & Recreation office at 886-8626, ext.1.
