Goddard Park Beach Closed For Swimming: State Health

High bacteria counts in the water have prompted the state health department to recommend closing the beach for swimming.

WARWICK, RI—Goddard Park State Beach has been closed since July 13, due to high bacteria counts, the state health department said. It's one of three beaches currently closed. The other two are Larkin's and Kingston's Camp, both in Kingston.

The state monitors water quality and will re-open the beach when conditions allow.

"The most up-to-date beach information is available through a recorded message on RIDOH's beaches telephone line" at 401-222-2751, according to the health department.
