Frenchtown Commons Gets Master Plan ApprovalThe development known as Frenchtown Commons straddles East Greenwich and, to a larger extent, North Kingstown, so both towns have had plenty to say about it. Wednesday night, the EG Planning Board granted Master Plan Approval and a zone change for the development. If a zone change is approved by the EG Town Council, the development will be in the same place with both communities.

Siegfried Max Pueschel, M.D., Ph.D., J.D., M.P.H., died Sept. 2, at the age of 82 years. He was born in Silesia, Germany, on July 28, 1932, to Max and Erna Pueschel.

Police Log: 600 Facebook Messages, Bud Lite TheftThursday, Aug. 22, 5:29 p.m. – Police arrested Harold R. Greene, 37, of Hill Farm Road in Coventry, for driving with a suspended license after he was involved in an accident on Division Street in front of 1149 restaurant. Routine checks of those involved turned up the license violation. He also reportedly did not have proof of insurance. Police issued Greene two District Court summons.
