Nearly $15,000 Raised At Education Foundation Fundraiser

The funds include the non-profit's largest one-time gift ever—a $5,000 donation from an East Greenwich-based company.

EAST GREENWICH, RI — The East Greenwich Education Foundation (EGEF) raised almost $15,000 in its Fall Fundraiser, according to a press release from the foundation. The funds will go to projects proposed by the district's teachers.

The total includes the largest one-time donation the foundation has ever received. East Greenwich-based Rhode Island Real Estate Services' owner, Greg Dantas.

He would match donations dollar-for-dollar for the first $5,000 raised, and people responded. The campaign yielded $9,436, plus Dantas' $5,000.
