North Kingstown Woman To Face Charges For Fatal Sept. Crash
A North Kingstown woman will face DUI charges for a crash that killed a woman on Sept. 7.
EAST GREENWICH, RI —A North Kingstown woman will face charges for a crash that killed a woman in September. Barbara Trojan, 60, will turn herself in on Thursday, police said Wednesday.
According to police, Trojan will be charged with DUI death resulting, DUI resulting in serious personal injury and operating to endanger resulting in physical injury. Her attorney has made arrangements for Trojan to turn herself into East Greenwich police on Oct. 3.
On Sept. 7, Patricia A. Daniels of North Kingstown was killed in a two-car crash on Frenchtown Road. The crash was caused when Trojan's car swerved into the opposite lane, hitting Daniels' car and caused it to roll over, WJAR reported. Three other people were in Daniels' car at the time, driver Donna Daniels, of East Greenwich, Bruce Bartels, of North Kingstown and Heather Lee of East Greenwich. All were injured, along with Trojan.

The charges come following toxicology results from the crash, police said. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the department at 401-884-2244 or email tips@eastgreenwichri.com.
