Obituary: Alexander D. Tagliatela, 23, Strong Willed and Loyal

Alex Tagliatela, 23, of East Greenwich, RI, passed away September 20, 2016. He will be forever missed.

Alex Tagliatela, 23, of East Greenwich, RI, passed away September 20, 2016. Born in Providence, he was a son of David Tagliatela and Katie McGlumphy.

A graduate of LaSalle Academy in Providence, he was currently employed at Our Lady of Mercy Church in East Greenwich. Alex was a strong willed and loyal individual who was fearless and trustworthy. He loved to have fun and had a passion for animals, especially his cat. He enjoyed military movies, books and memorabilia. He was well loved by his family and friends.

He will be forever missed.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother, Daniel Tagliatela and Daniel’s girlfriend Amy; his Aunts, Patricia Schiappa of CA, Martha Arnold and her husband Joe of AZ and Great Aunt Margaret Moretti of Johnston. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Diamond and Joanne (Calise) Tagliatela and maternal grandparents, William and Renate (Poeschel) McGlumphy.

A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 24th at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, East Greenwich. Calling hours: Friday, September 23rd 5-8pm at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to your favorite Animal Shelter.
