Obituary: Barbara C. Tougas, 86

Barbara C. Tougas, 86, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2016. Barbara was the beloved wife of Robert E. Tougas. Born in East Providence she was a daughter of the late Walter E. and Gretta C. (Cyr) Mulvaney.

Mom was a teller at the former Fleet National Bank in North Kingstown and East Greenwich. She was also the beloved secretary at Our Lady of Mercy School in East Greenwich. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, but most of all spending time with her family.

Besides her husband she is survived by 5 daughters; Robin L. Holland and her husband Chris, Karen M. Tougas, Kim Tougas, Babs Wells and her husband Tim and Mimi A. Leduc and her husband Paul, 10 grandchildren; Spencer, Jessica, Sarah, Bob, Amanda, Drew, Tim, Alex, Paul, and Remy, 6 great grandchildren; Arwen, Chase, Miller, Cortland, Summer and Miles. Barbara was one of 12 children.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday January 22nd at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours: Thursday 5-7 pm at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. In lieu of flowers donation to the North Kingstown Food Pantry will be appreciated.
