Obituary: Peter Woodward Collins, 28, Accomplished Writer, Musician and Artist
Peter Woodward Collins, 28, of Providence, formerly of East Greenwich, RI, passed away on Sept. 23.

Peter Woodward Collins, age 28, of Providence, RI, formerly of East Greenwich, RI, passed away on September 23, 2016 after a long and valiant struggle with depression. He leaves his mother and father, Jill and Timothy Collins, his sister and brother-in-law, Amelia and Ryan Morrill. He also leaves behind his loving Aunt Joyce and Uncle George Caruolo, his Aunt Pat Collins April, as well as many cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Paul and Jean (Brown) Woodward and Jack and Joan (Vogt) Collins.
Peter is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and East Greenwich High School. He was an accomplished writer, musician, and artist. He was a driven writer, often penning his manuscripts by hand, his favored method. He was passionate about music and his interests varied from classical to American indie and noise rock. He was a talented guitar player and loved seeing his favorite bands when they came through town.
Peter’s extended family included his wide circle of close friends from near and far. He looked forward to his annual outing to the Cape house with his high school gang, and his lifelong love of computer sciences led Peter to some of his closest friendships from furthest away.

He was a kind, loving, and caring person. He’ll be forever missed by all he touched.
A Celebration of Peter's Life will be held on Wednesday September 28, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main Street, East Greenwich, all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peter's memory may be made to The Samaritans of Rhode Island, PO Box 9086, Providence, RI 02940.
