Rita A. Davis, 87, a resident of East Greenwich for over 50 years, passed away August 20. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Asa S. Davis. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Valmore and Mary R. (Bernard) Lariviere.
Besides being a homemaker, she had worked at Deering, Woolworth's and Chronamatic.
She is also survived by two sons, Asa S. Davis, Jr., and Robert Davis; seven grandchildren, Asa S. III, Aaron, Aric, Drew, Christian and Jennifer Davis and Katharine Reich; 10 great grandchildren, Asa S. IV, Brittany, Kieran, Hannah, Alyssa, Kendra, Camille, Salim, Isabella and Anthony. She was the sister of Raymond Lariviere and the late Roland, Harvey and Marcel Lariviere.
Committal prayers will be held Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 11:30 a.m. at the R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours are Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice.
