One-Quarter Of East Greenwich Homes Still Missing From Census

Town ranks fourth in Rhode Island with 73 percent of homes completing the survey and Census takers now headed out to find the rest.

EAST GREENWICH, RI —East Greenwich residents who have not yet filled out the Census may soon be getting a knock on the door.

Residents are advised that Census takers are now following up with households who have not complete the survey. East Greenwich residents have been among the best in the state in responding, with their 73.3 percent response ranking behind only Barrington, North Kingstown and Richmond in compliance.

"With the potential of a Congressional seat at stake, RI has much riding on full participation by our residents," town officials said.
