Patch 101 & Pumpkins Needed

Broadway Babies: A musical theater class for preschoolers. Students will learn several vocal selections from the "The Lion King" and then practice "staging" the songs. Proper singing techniques will be taught and practice materials will be provided. The class includes a final showcase that family and friends are welcome to attend. The instructor is Valerie Remillard Myette. For children 4 to 6 years old for six weeks, Tuesdays 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at the Parks & Rec office. Patch 101: Patch 101 is open to the public at large and is a great way to learn how to maximize all that Patch.com has to offer! Patch.com reps will be here to give a brief overview of "what" Patch.com is all about, then we'll break off, with laptops (please bring your own if you have one – we have wifi), and help individuals and small groups learn how to post events, open blog accounts, etc… or just answer questions. There will be some delicious Updike's Newtown micro-roasted coffee and lunch catered by Eddie’s BBQ. It's free and informative so mark your calendar and come on by. 11 a.m. at The Hive, Lafayette Mill, 650 Ten Rod Road.

Halloween Zumba Party: The newly open Shotokan Karate & Kickbox studio next to CVS at 57 Main Street is hosting a Halloween Zumba Party. Activities will include kids songs, games, giveaways, refreshments, and a costume contest. $10 a person or family rates available. Call for info or to reserve your spot 401-391-2713.

ONEsdays with The Lost Arts: Local band The Lost Arts is playing Wednesday nights at the Greenwich Hotel, playing great music and bringing awareness to the One Campaign to eliminate extreme poverty and preventable disease.
