Police Seek Suspect in Dunkin' Donuts Robbery Attempt

The suspect fled the New London Turnpike store on a mountain bike without any cash.

Coventry Police detectives are attempting to identify and learn the whereabouts of a male suspect who attempted to rob the New London Turnpike Dunkin' Donuts Wednesday. The store is in East Greenwich.

According to Coventry Police Detective Steve Gabriele, the suspect entered the coffee shop and passed a note to the cashier demanding all the money in the register. When the employee was slow to respond to his demands, the suspect grabbed the note and left the building. 

Police describe the man as a 5'7" white male, approximately 35 to 45 years old, with short brown-and-gray hair and glasses.

Dunkin' Donuts surveillance footage shows the suspect wearing a black shirt, black shorts, white socks, and "Crocs" shoes. The Dunkin' employee told authorities that the man spoke with a southern accent and left the shop on a mountain bike.
