RI's Gatorade Player Of The Year Donates Prize To YMCA

East Greenwich High School sophomore Reese Fahys gave $1,000 to the organization's youth programs.

EAST GREENWICH, RI —Rhode Island's Gatorade Player of the Year has donated her $1,000 prize to the YMCA of Greater Providence, reported WPRI.

Reese Fahys, a New Jersey native and current sophomore at East Greenwich High School, was given the award for her athletic contributions in girls cross country.

The money will go tows the Race 4 Chase youth triathlon and a new Speed and Agility clinic, at which Fahys intends to volunteer.
