Rocky Hill Boasts Boys' & Girls' Lacrosse Players Of The Year

She's from Narragansett, and he's from Newport.

EAST GREENWICH, RI - From Rocky Hill School: For the second year in a row, Rocky Hill School is proud to recognize both a girls’ and boys’ SENEISAA (Southeastern New England Independent School Athletic Association) Lacrosse Player of the Year. Congratulations to Charlotte Boss ’22 of Narragansett and Griffin Spinney ’20 of Newport.

About Charlotte Boss ‘22

Charlotte, an 8th grade rookie player for the varsity team, has been a force in the midfield and on offense. A true student of the game, Charlotte is among Rocky Hill’s most versatile players and has been counted on by her teammates for her strong stick skills, endurance in the midfield, and quiet sense of confidence. This season, she led her team with 61 goals and 27 assists, and 67 draw controls.

Charlotte is a 9-season athlete, playing a competitive sport in each of the three seasons for all three years of middle school (grades 6-8). She also earned Rocky Hill School’s Offensive Player of the Year for Girls’ Lacrosse and SENE All-League recognition.

About Griffin Spinney ‘20

Sophomore Griffin Spinney was the focal point for the Mariners' offense this year. His ability to create space for himself in front of the goal was pivotal to Rocky Hill's success, and it also resulted in 67 goals and 5 assists for him this year. Griffin also demonstrated his hustle by picking up 35 ground balIs in the year, and would play long-pole in man-down situations.

Griffin was recently awarded Rocky Hill School’s Charlie Blanchard Relentless Spirit Award for Boys’ Lacrosse and SENE All-League recognition, and served as one of the co-captains for the team.
