Rocky Hill School in Hunt for 4th Championship This Spring
Rocky Hill School sports teams clinched three championship titles this spring and are in the hunt to make it four-for-four this Saturday.
East Greenwich, RI— Rocky Hill School has a big game this weekend as Girls Varsity Lacrosse challenges Toll Gate for the RIIL DIII Championship. The team has a league record of 12-1-0 having only lost to Lincoln High School in the regular season. Two freshman, Charlotte Boss (Narragansett) and Kaeley Zito (Charlestown) sit in the number 2 and 5 slots for top scorers in the state, while senior goalie Aviva Beringhause (Providence) is the number 1 ranked goalie in the state with 200 saves to date.
This has been a great spring season for the Rocky Hill School Mariners who play in the SENE League for their other three varsity sports: Boys Lacrosse, Co-ed Tennis and Co-ed Golf. All three teams ended their seasons as league champions and if the girls prevail on Saturday, it will be a school record.
On May 17, Rocky Hill Boys Varsity Lacrosse won its 2nd straight SENE title, defeating Eagle Hill 11-7 behind a huge fourth-quarter comeback. With the win, Rocky Hill moved to 10-1 on the season, including finishing a perfect 8-0 against their SENE opponents. Additional congratulations to our SENE All League players:

On May 15, after posting an undefeated season, the Rocky Hill School Varsity Golf team clinched the SENE League Championship. In addition they tied with St. Andrews School in the 2019 SENE Golf Tournament. The two schools are this year’s tournament co-champions. At the tournament, Rocky Hill earned four of the ten SENE All-League honors spots: Cole Larimer ’20 – 88 pts (East Greenwich)Sonny Massotti ’22 – 88 pts (East Greenwich)Sinead Burnett ’21 – 102 pts (Jamestown)Chase Schulte ’21 – 107 pts (Warwick)
On May 22, the Rocky Hill tennis team beat Macduffie 5-2, making them the SENE League champions. Eli Levy ’22 (East Greenwich) had an incredible comeback win and Lily Kerachsky ’22 (East Greenwich) and Elsa Block ’20 (Coventry) played their toughest tennis all season to win. Marshal Lind ’22 (North Kingstown) and Hadley Martinez ’23 (Wakefield) won at 1 doubles and went undefeated together for the entire season. (All League selections have not yet been announced)
