Route 4 Split On I-95 South Clsoing Overnight For Roadwork
Exit 9, which branches to Route 4 South will close overnight Monday through Thursday.

EAST GREENWICH, RI — Exit nine, where Route 4 splits off Interstate 95 South in East Greenwich, will close overnight for the next few nights for road work. The closure will be in place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday until Thursday.
The closure is needed to allow for work on a temporary bridge over Route 4, which is under construction. It will be used while the Division Street Bridge is replaced. The closure is a precaution, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation said.
Drivers who need to take Route 4 South during the closures can follow a detour from Exit 8 to Route 2 and Division Street, getting on the highway at the on-ramp just past the East Greenwich Square shopping center. Police will be stationed along the detour route to keep traffic moving smoothly.
