Several East Greenwich Vehicle Thefts In Last Month: Police

East Greenwich said it is believed the majority of the vehicles stolen were left unlocked.

EAST GREENWICH, RI — A string of vehicle thefts in East Greenwich over the past month is believed to be targeting vehicles left unlocked.

The East Greenwich Police Department said there have been several thefts in that span, and that for the most part those vehicles were not locked.

"We are advising all residents to lock your vehicles and not to leave valuables in your vehicle, including (keyless start devices)," East Greewnich police said.

Police ask that anyone who has seen anything, or may have residential surveillance video that may include video of something suspicious, is asked to call the East Greenwich Police Department at 884-2244.
