EWG Knights Football To Host Summer Conditioning Program
Coach Cliff Fortin says when the team trains together during off-season, they're ready to compete in the fall.

Summer conditioning for Exeter-West Greenwich Prout football will take place July 6 to August 19, and for the second year, EWG Prout will be hosting its own five-week passing league.
"I believe this type of passing league is very important," said Knights Coach Cliff Fortin. "It allows players who will be playing on the same team to get their timing down, build a better relationship, and help prepare for a successful season."

Summer conditioning is one of the most important events a football program can have, Fortin said. It brings the team together during the off-season, and that's when everything really comes together. During the season, time is tight. It's easier to pay attention to details, technique, and fundamentals during the off-season and summer conditioning, Fortin said.
"My coaching staff and I are excited to see the our returning players and our new players," said Fortin. "Coming off a playoff appearance for the first time in many years, I am really hoping we get a lot of new players to help build an even better football program for not just this year, but for years to come."
