Man And Woman Dead In Hopkinton Mobile Home Fire

Crews responding to Alton Bradford Road before midnight and found the home fully engulfed in flames.

HOPKINTON, RI — A couple in their 60s and 70s died after fire broke out late Tuesday night in a trailer home, according to the Ashaway Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to Alton Bradford Road at 11:53 p.m. and found the double-wide trailer home completely engulfed in flames, Ashaway Fire Chief Ronnie J. Sposato said.

It's believed the victims were sleeping in the double-wide trailer when the fire started. Their identities have not been released. Autopsies are pending, according to Hopkinton Fire Chief David Palmer. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
