Flooding From Johnston Streets To I-95
The rain on Friday brought flooding to a section of I-95 near the Thurbers Avenue curve and also impacted some roads in Johnston.

JOHNSTON, RI — Rain pounded Providence around 3 p.m. The forecast for scattered showers and locally heavy downpours developed into some areas where the roads flooded. The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather alert which noted rainfall would be "locally heavy" on Friday night, "producing minor urban and poor drainage flooding, mainly Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts." Some of the news sources captured the situation in pictures.
