Johnston Gas Prices Down Nearly $1 a Gallon Over Last Christmas

One reason to be thankful this holiday season: unusually low gas prices.
The price of gas in Rhode Island this week hit an average of $2.64—down 88 cents from a year ago, according to AAA Southern New England.
The cheapest gas in the state on Monday could be found in Providence, where two stations were selling it for $2.30, according to GasBuddy.
