State police confirm one person was killed in a highway accident on Route 6 near Atwood Avenue on Thursday.
JOHNSTON, RI — One person died in a highway accident Thursday morning, state police have confirmed. According to Laura Meade, the single-car crash happened on Route 6 west near Atwood Avenue. State police received a report around 8:50 a.m., and the accident is still under investigation. Details are not being released.
