Johnston Police Seek Suspect In Theft Of $10K Worth Of Glasses

JOHNSTON, RI — Johnston police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man wanted for questioning in the theft of more than $10,000 worth of glasses on Friday.

Police said Optx RI on Hartford Avenue reported the theft of the frames about 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The suspect was described by witnesses as a tall, skinny black man in his early 20s. He was wearing a white surgical mask on video surveillance released by police.

He had short, dark brown hair and witnesses said he appeared to have a beard under his mask. Police said he left the area in a GMC Terrain.
