JOHNSTON, RI — The steer that was roaming around Johnston for nearly two months will soon have a new owner, said Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue in a Facebook post Friday.

According to the post, the farmer notified the sanctuary that "someone has come in and offered money to buy him and he has accepted their offer."

"We don't know where the steer will end up, but we hope he is safe and will be happy," said the sanctuary.
