Johnston School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

JOHNSTON, RI — The first day of school in Johnston is August 29 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Johnston School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 12/6: Parent Teacher Conferences (Elementary)
• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (Holiday Recess)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18 - 2/22: No School (Winter Recess)

March

• 3/29: No School (Professional Development)

April

• 4/15 - 4/19: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/4: Last Day of School for Seniors
• 6/5: Graduation
• 6/13: Last Day of School
