JOHNSTON, RI — Parts of Rhode Island will see a white Christmas, but the snow is not in the Christmas Day forecast for Johnston. According to the National Weather Service in Taunton, Mass., there is only a slight chance of snow on Christmas Eve. Then it all turns to a wintry mix.

Rain, snow, and sleet before noon, then a slight chance of rain between noon and 1pm. High near 37. Breezy, with a northeast wind 6 to 11 mph becoming northwest 16 to 21 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no snow and sleet accumulation expected.
