Ryan Bouchard is the author and photographer of Gourmet Mushrooms of Rhode Island, the first book about mushroom hunting in the Ocean State. Emily Schmidt studies the countless ways they can be used for cooking, as well as the nutritional values of our local varieties. Together, they educate people in the New England area about enjoying the safe hunting and cooking of wild mushrooms. Their 60-minute presentation (followed by a Q&A) will introduce the amazing hobby of mushroom hunting, using a slideshow of stunning all-local mushroom photography. Truly surprising!
