New Grocery Store Aldi Coming To Johnston
The opening event includes free gift cards for the first 100 customers and a contest for a chance to win a year's supply of produce.

JOHNSTON, RI — Discount grocery store chain Aldi is opening a new store at the Stonehill Marketplace later this month.
The ribbon cutting for the new store is Oct. 25, the company said. The opening event includes free gift cards for the first 100 customers and a contest for a chance to win a year's supply of produce.
The Johnston store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Aldi in a press release said its spending $3.4 billion to expand to 2,500 stores nationwide by the end of 2022. The Johnston store will be the seventh in Rhode Island.
