Patriots Players To Visit Two Rhode Island Schools

Patriots players and cheerleaders will be at two Rhode island schools on Thursday for Read Across America month.

JOHNSTON, RI — In honor of Read Across America Month, two lucky Rhode Island schools will be visited by Patriots players and cheerleaders on Thursday. While there, they will talk to students about the importance of reading, read books aloud and answers students' questions. Players including Adam Butler and Ted Karras will be at the events.

In total, the Patriots will be visiting four schools: two in Rhode Island and two in Massachusetts. Here in Rhode Island, they will visit James L. McGuire Elementary School on Waveland Avenue in Johnston at 10 a.m. and Dr. Joseph A. Whelan Elementary School on Mineral Spring Avenue in North Providence at 1:30 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the New England Patriots Foundation, which was founded by Robert Kraft and focuses on helping kids throughout New England.
