Police Searching For Missing Johnston Man

JOHNSTON, RI — Police are searching for a Johnston man who went missing Saturday afternoon, said a Facebook post from the Johnston Police Department Tuesday.

Police say Robert Rocchio, 50,left his home sometime after 1 p.m. on March 6 and did not return.

Rocchio's family told investigators that cash and some of his clothes were missing. They believe he has his cell phone with him, but it seems to have been turned off.

His family also said he has attempted to travel to Manhattan, New York in the past, where he previously lived, but does not have access to a vehicle.

Rocchio was last seen in the area of Atwood Avenue wearing a tan jacket and black backpack, said police. He is 5’9” and weighs approximately 275 pounds.
