RI State Police Allege Johnston Woman Was Driving Drunk
Police said two children, 8 and 10, were in the car but were unharmed.
JOHNSTON, RI—State police arrested a Johnston woman after a car accident in Warwick. The single-car crash happened around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday on the Interstate 95 on-ramp at Division Street. The driver and her two children, 8 and 10, were not hurt, but police charged Katie A. Orlando, 37, with Driving while intoxicated (with two children under age 13). Relatives took charge of the children.
Orlando was also cited for traffic violations, police said. She was released with a summons.
