State Police Charge Johnston Woman With Fraud

The State Police Financial Crimes Unit charged Beth Conti, 52, with fraudulently obtaining money and assistance.

JOHNSTON, RI — State Police charged a Johnston woman with fraud on Thursday. The Financial Crimes Unit charged Beth E. Conti, 52, with fraudulently obtaining assistance of more than $500, obtaining money under false pretenses over $1,500 and giving a false document to an agent, employee or public official.

Conti was processed at the State Police Headquarters and turned over to the Sixth Division District Court officials for arraignment. She was released on $3,000 personal recognizance bail.
