Johnston Shooting On Atwood Avenue: Police

Johnston Police later rescinded the arrest warrant for the suspect.

JOHNSTON, RI — A shooting happened on Atwood Avenue at about midnight on Thursday night.

Johnston police said the victim of the shooting identified the shooter, but an arrest warrant for that suspect from Johnston police was later rescinded.

Police said they were called to Atwood Avenue about midnight and found the victim with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was stable at Rhode Island Hospital Friday morning.
