JOHNSTON, RI – Democrat Richard DelFino, III collected the most votes in the only contested council race. He received 1,419 votes for the District 1 seat, more than Independent Deborah A. Spaur's tally of 424, and Independent Eileen Fuoco's 284.
The mail in ballots and absentee ballots had not been counted in the final tally.
Voters approved all seven statewide ballot questions.

In the contested General Assembly races, Democrat Frank Lombardo, III defeated Independent Louis Vinagro for the District 25 Senate seat, and Deborah A. Fellela (D) defeated Karin N. Gorman (I) for the District 23 House seat.
