Woman Deliberately Dropped Infant, Police Allege
Dignailis Estrella, 26, of Johnston, was charged on Friday, Dec. 1, with felony child abuse, police said.
WOONSOCKET, RI — Dignailis Estrella, 26, of Johnston, was charged on Friday, Dec. 1, with felony child abuse, police said. Police arrested her at 6:39 p.m. According to the arrest report, an inmate at the Adult Correctional Institutions called the state Department of Children, Youth and Families to report the incident which allegedly happened in March. He claimed she was his ex-girl friend, and the child was his.
He told police he was told she deliberately dropped the baby.
Estrella now lives in Johnston. The incident allegedly happened in Woonsocket.
