2 Independent Pharmacies In RI To Offer Coronavirus Vaccines

Matt's Local Pharmacy in Middletown and Suburban Pharmacy in Warwick are now booking vaccine appointments.

MIDDLETOWN, RI — The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) announced Friday that two independently-owned pharmacies in Middletown and Warwick will begin offering COVID-19 vaccines Tuesday.

Matt’s Local Pharmacy in Middletown and Suburban Pharmacy in Warwick are now booking appointments through the state vaccine portal.

Matt's Local Pharmacy has received approximately 300 vaccine doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine from the state and will vaccinate people through the weekend.

Suburban Pharmacy has received 100 doses and will vaccinate starting only Tuesday and Wednesday.

Those eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine currently include residents age 60 and older, those ages 16 to 64 with underlying health conditions, and anyone who was eligible during Phase 1 of Rhode Island's vaccine distribution.
