4 Bridges Ride Set For Sunday, Sept. 17

The ride will disrupt traffic in Town for a about an hour starting just before 7:30 a.m.

From The City of Newport: On Sunday, September 17, 2017 the 4 Bridges Ride starts in North Kingstown. The race enters Newport, Middletown and then Portsmouth. The 4 Bridges Ride will start at 7:00am. Anticipate the first rider of the race to enter Middletown just before 7:30am. The last rider of this race should exit Middletown by 8:30am. In order to accommodate the riders participating in the race, the Middletown Police Department will provide traffic control on several street locations in conjunction with the race.

The course of the race is as follows: Participants will enter Middletown from Newport on Coddington Highway. Riders will turn left onto Lexington Street, turn right onto Read Street and then take a left onto Chases Lane. From Chases Lane, riders will take a left onto Access Highway and continue out on Burma Road, into Portsmouth.

The Middletown Police Department requests that motorists use care when driving in the area on race day.
