A Middletown woman hit a $25,000 jackpot on May 27 when she matched five numbers correctly in the Lucky for Life drawing.

A woman from Middletown has claimed a winning $25,000 Lucky for Life ticket from the May 27 drawing.
The winning ticket, which was sold at Stop & Shop on West Main Road, matched five numbers, but not the Lucky Ball number. She plans to put the money towards a new roof, appliances and bills. If she had hit the Lucky Ball number too, she would have garnered $1,000 a day for the rest of her life.

She purchased the ticket at Stop & Shop, 1360 West Main Rd., Middletown. Lucky for Life® is sold only in New England and drawings take place every Monday and Thursday at 10:38pm.
