All Newport County Residents Get Free Mansion Admission on Jan. 10 and 11

The first "Newport County Days" this year, which offers free admission to Newport Mansions, is coming up.

NEWPORT, RI—When was the last time you took a tour at one of the Newport Mansions?

If it has been some time, or never, now’s the time to mark your calendar, especially if you live in Newport County.

To kick off Newport County Days this year, the Preservation Society of Newport County is offering free admission to the Newport Mansions for all residents of Newport County on Jan. 10 and 11.

Residents of Jamestown, Little Compton, Middletown, Newport, Portsmouth and Tiverton will all be eligible for free admission to The Breakers, The Elms and Marble House on those two days in January, by showing proof of residency at the ticket station at any of the three houses. Proof of residency can be a driver’s license, motor vehicle registration, passport, other photo id, utility bill, or any similar document that shows name and address. Identification is not required for children, but children must be escorted by an adult.
