Extreme Heat Pushes Turner Road Sidewalk Project To Nights

MIDDLETOWN, RI — Record-high temperatures are pushing a sidewalk improvement project on Turner Road between Green End Avenue and Wyatt Road to overnights.

The project is scheduled to be completed by Friday. Due to excessive heat, the paving will occur between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m. to ensure the safety of workers.

The road will be closed to through traffic during the project.
