Health Officials Say Middletown Beach Safe For Swimming Again
The RI Department of Health said bacteria levels at Third Beach have returned to normal.

MIDDLETOWN, RI — The Rhode Island Department of Health recommended reopening Third Beach in Middletown for swimming, since bacteria levels returned to normal, the department announced Saturday.
Health officials on Friday called for the beach to be closed, as its bacteria level was high and no safe for recreational swimming.
The department will continue to monitor water quality in beaches throughout the state and recommendations may change as more information becomes available.
