Lane Closures, Delays In Middletown During Sewer Work
Drivers in the area of Memorial Boulevard West and Thames Street are encouraged to seek alternate routes next week.
MIDDLETOWN, RI — Lane closures and delays are expected during sewer line repairs in Middletown next week. Starting Monday, crews will be working on the city's main sewer line, which connects to the Newport sewer system.
Work will begin around 6 a.m. on Monday on a section of pipe on Memorial Boulevard West at Thames Street. Crews will work during the day, causing delays and closed lanes. Drivers in the area are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
Construction is expected to wrap up by the end of the week on July 12.
