MIDDLETOWN, RI — A Massachusetts firefighter has denied walking into a Middletown 7-Eleven in the nude earlier this month. 60-year-old Lynnfield Fire Captain John Walsh was charged with disorderly conduct on April 3 after the store clerk called the police and said there was a naked man in the store.

According to police, Walsh's girlfriend said she dared him to walk into the store in the nude after he said it was legal in Rhode Island.

Rhode Island law defines indecent exposure as exposing one's genitals "for the purpose of sexual arousal, gratification or stimulation...under circumstances in which his or her conduct is likely to cause affront, distress or alarm to that person."
