Middletown Extends Beach Restrictions Amid Coronavirus Crisis
Until further notice, access to beach parking lots will be restricted to residents and non-residents with season passes until 6 p.m. daily.
MIDDLETOWN, RI — Middletown has instituted new parking restrictions aimed at reducing the number of people at the beach amid the coronavirus crisis.
Town officials said that until further notice beach parking will be restricted to only residents and non-residents with season passes until 6 p.m. daily. Officials said the change was necessary to limit people at the beach, including during the late-afternoon hours.
Middletown beach management said that cars will also continue to be limited at Second and Third Beach so that those going will be able to visit the beaches safely.
