Middletown To Treat Drainage Basins For Mosquitoes

The town will treat the basins with a 90-day treatment to cut down on the threat of West Nile virus and Eastern equine encephalitis.

MIDDLETOWN, RI — Middletown is planning to treat drainage catch basins with mosquito repellent in an effort to cut down on threat of West Nile virus and Eastern equine encephalitis.

The 90-day treatments are in accordance with Rhode Island Department of Environment Management guidance to cut down on the nuisance insects.
