Middletown's Second Beach To Open Saturday
Seasonal parking passes are now on sale during the day at the gazebo at the beach, and will be sold at the beach starting Saturday.

MIDDLETOWN, RI — Beach parking passes are now being sold for Second Beach — also known as Sachuest Beach — which will open starting Saturday at 8 a.m. There is no limit to the amount of passes being sold to residents or non-residents.
Passes are being sold from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday at the Gazebo near the main entrance to the Second Beach parking lot, and will be solid at the beach through the end of the season at Labor Day.
Payment by check is preferred, with no credit cards accepted.

Rates will remain the same as last year at $70 for residents and $65 for senior residents. Resident motorcycle passes are $30. Non-resident passes are $140, $130 for seniors and $60 for motorcycles.
Middletown has suspended issuing free resident passes this year as well as issuing a second pass to residents purchasing a season pass. There are no plans to collect daily parking fees at this time, with season passes only sold at the beach.

The town plans to launch an online system to sell passes as well with details coming here.
Both parking lots at Third Beach will be open on June 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to residents only, but all residents will need to purchase a seasonal pass to park at any of the town parking lots. These include Second Beach, Surfer's End, Third Beach Boat Ramp, Town Beach and Dunlap-Wheeler Park.
Parking at all lots is at on a first-come, first-serve basis per day until the parking lot reaches the restricted capacity due to the coronavirus health emergency.
Lifeguards will be at Main Lot, Surfer's End and Third Beach. The main pavilion will be closed to the public, but there will be portable restrooms available at all locations. There will be a carry-in, carry-out policy on all trash.
