The Newport County YMCA Joins the GivingTuesday Movement

The Newport County YMCA has partnered with #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together to celebrate generosity and to give. The idea is to find a way for your own family, community, or organization to come together to give something more while encouraging others to do the same.

Join the Newport County YMCA and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity. All donations will benefit the 2014 Community Support Campaign which provides financial scholarships, adaptive physical activity programs, hands-on anti-bullying curriculum and vital education on the prevention of child sexual abuse. We also remain the center of community for youth sports, aquatics and physical fitness. Last year, the Newport County YMCA awarded $255,897 in scholarships to children and families in need to ensure no one is turned away due to an inability to pay.
