Potter League Has 'Poorly Drawn Pet' Fundraiser Amid Coronavirus

Donate $15, and they'll draw a picture of your cat. No promises it will be good, though.

The Potter League for Animals will draw a picture of your pet for every $15 donation. The catch? They're not very good at it.

MIDDLETOWN, RI — Amid the coornavirus crisis, Gov. Gina Raimondo has repeatedly called for Rhode Islanders to be creative in their ways to make it through the shutdowns. Middletown's Potter League for Animals is doing just that.

On Thursday, the shelter announced that it is "putting the 'fun' back in fundraising" by offering to draw pictures of pets in exchange for a donation.

"If you donate $15 to Potter League for Animals, we’ll draw your pet. The catch? We’re a whole lot better at caring for animals than we are at drawing them," the organization said.

There's no limit to how many pictures can be purchased, and the organization asks for $15 per pet face.

"This ridiculous idea is to bring you a bit of laughter during these challenging times and to help us raise critically needed funds," the Potter League said.
